Solution#1 Get Your GPU Drivers Updated

Updating your GPU drivers is really crucial not only for the performance of Forspoken but its stability as well. Update AMD GPU Drivers

AMD releases important GPU updates almost every single month. The updated driver comes with important enhancements to performance alongside fixes for the most recent games like Forspoken. Sometimes Latest updates may also contain a new feature or two that helps you boost your game’s performance. Let’s begin this AMD settings guide by re-updating your driver for your GPU first.

1. Type “AMD Adrenaline” in the Windows search bar and click on the first link that pops up. You could also simply right-click on the desktop and open up the AMD control panel. 
2. Once AMD settings open up, head over to the “Drivers & Softwares” section on the top right and “Check for Updates.”

Solution#2 Verify Forspoken Files Through Steam

The game files can get corrupted or go missing for several reasons. This is one of the major factors that lead to Forspoken crashing. However, steam allows you to verify the integrity of your game files and replace any corrupted or missing files with new ones. This gets your game in working order without any hassle. Let’s see how you can do this:

1. First, open steam by either searching for it in the Windows search bar or double-clicking the Steam icon in the taskbar on the bottom right.

   C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common

2. Once you reach the game install location, right-click on the main game’s executable and select properties. 

3. Once you’re in properties, go to the Compatibility tab and check to mark the option Run This Program as an Administrator.

Solution# 4 Disable 3rd-Party Application Overlays

If you have other apps running in the background while playing Forspoken, chances are their overlays are active and it’s messing up with the game. Applications like steam, discord, MSI Afterburner, etc. have an overlay that you can activate with a shortcut keypress. 1. Launch the Discord application by either typing Discord in Windows Search or opening it from the taskbar on the bottom right.
2. Once Discord is open, go to its settings (gear icon) in the bottom left corner. 

3. After accessing the Discord settings, scroll down to the bottom until you find the Game Overlay Tab. Click on it. 
4. In the Game Overlay tab, you’ll see a switch on the top that’ll either turn on or off the Discord in-game overlay; make sure to turn it off.

Disable Xbox Game Bar

Windows 10 and 11 introduced a slew of game-focused features that help games improve performance and several baked-in Game features, and Xbox Game Bar is one of them. It’s quite a system intensive and can cause Final Fantasy Core crashing issues. Here’s how to disable it:

1. Launch Windows Settings by short key WIN Key + I.

2. Once you open Windows Settings, go to the Gaming tab and then to the Captures menu. Here, disable all the options shown above.

4. Here, type Game Bar into the search.
5. Once the Game Bar App pops up, click on its menu button and select Advanced Option.
6. Once you open the Advanced Options, you’ll see the Let This App Run In Background option under Background App Permissions. Here you should select Never.
7. Once done, scroll down and click Terminate to close down Game Bar for Good.

Solution# 5 Terminate Background Processes

Windows is one of the most powerful Operating Systems available for consumers. It’s usually running a multitude of tasks and background processes at any given time simultaneously. Now some of those processes tend to mess with applications and games which could be the culprit behind Forspoken crashing issue. You can try disabling these unwanted processes to fix this issue. Here’s how to do it:

1. Fire up the Task Manager through the shortcut keys CTRL+SHIFT+ESC. 

2. As the Task Manager opens, you’ll see a bunch of active processes in both the foreground and the background.

However, Antivirus software does tend to overreact to game files and show up false positives which end up deleting an important game file. This could be one of the major reasons behind Forspoken crashing issue and you’ll need to address this. 

First, disable your Antivirus software complete and launch Forspoken. Play for a good 10-15 minutes and see if the crashing issue occurs again. If the game’s not crashing anymore, you’ve found your culprit. 

However, you don’t need to permanently disable or uninstall your Antivirus solution, simply explore its settings and whitelist Forspoken’s install folder. This will prevent the Antivirus software from messing with Forspoken’s local files and deleting them. 

Fix Forspoken Crashing Issue on PS5

Solution# 1 Check If Your PS5 is Overheating

Forspoken is a game that’s heavy on visuals and particle effects. This means your PS5’s GPU will be working overtime to render all those fancy effects and frames. In case your PS5 is running an older version of firmware, this might be the reason why you’re experiencing Forspoken crashing issue. You should follow these steps to update your console:

1. From the main screen, go to the PS Settings menu.
2. Visit the System Software Update section and choose to check for updates.
