Twitter today opened applications for businesses to get early access to its new ‘Verification for Organizations’ program. The tool, formerly known as Blue for Business, allows organizations to access features within the platform such as affiliated accounts and verification checkmarks.
These features include the ability to have different colored verification checkmarks, which Twitter is expanding from the original blue to gold that has already been launched for companies, as well as gray for government officials.
Additionally, affiliation badges will be usable by those who are part of the program, which shows which accounts are affiliated with which business. So a company that has multiple Twitter accounts can show that they are all linked together.
We will soon be launching Verification for Organizations, previously known as Blue for Business. Today, you can apply for early access through our waiting list here: https://t.co/wNdVPXHQRq
