Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg made the announcement through himself. Broadcasting channel on Friday that Instagram is testing some new features. This includes the ability to share songs while sending Instagram notes. He shared a short video clip showing how the feature will work in the app once it’s rolled out.
The Notes feature lets users share updates with their Instagram connections without direct messaging, but so far it’s been text-only. Meanwhile, the new change lets users attach a short clip of a song to a note, similar to stories.

Another feature that is already available in a few countries is the ability to add a song to a photo carousel. Zuckerberg added that this feature will be introduced in more countries in the future. As of now, it is possible to add music to an Instagram post. However, if multiple images are included in one post, the songs need to be included separately.
This comes days after Instagram rolled out a redesigned video editor for Reels along with other creator features. In addition, users can now add up to five links to their bio along with their titles. Additionally, Meta Avatar now has more customization options for users as the company recently reached its billionth avatar creation. Meta disclosed in its quarterly earnings call this week that it reported a 3% year-over-year growth in Q1 2023 revenue to $28.65 billion.
