Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Kawabunga Collection has reportedly sold over 1 million copies since its release in August 2022. This entry is a collection of 13 games in the franchise that were developed by Konami between 1989 and 1994. Additionally, Konami has shared a few more stats related to player gameplay. A total of 350 million foot soldiers were dismounted. The turtles enjoyed the feast by eating 6 million pizzas. Shredder laments his ruined plans 2 million times. Ninja saved the day a million times. These high numbers reflect record sales for the title.
The entry was well received by critics and consumers alike. The game has one. Meta score Rated 79 with a user score of 8.0. Additionally, it has an 84% positive rating on Steam as reviewed by 367 players. Replays are an assortment of nostalgia and fans are grateful for it.
Previously, Konami sold the development rights of a few IPs to various indie developers to protect classic titles. Digital Eclipse has retained the rights to develop Teenage Mutant Turtles: The Kawabanga Collection and thanked fans for the overwhelming response in the following words:
