Earlier this year in May, Microsoft made Internet connectivity and a Microsoft Account (MSA) mandatory to install Windows 11 22H2 Insider builds. Thankfully, the OOBE\BYPASSNRO solution we discovered earlier still works, and later, one of our forum members posted a simple bypass to install Windows 11 22H2 using a local account. Found the truck.
Now after Rufus, which already added a bypass for these requirements in an older version, Ventoy, another popular third-party alternative used to create bootable Windows media, has also added a system requirements and has brought Microsoft Account (MSA)/Internet Connectivity Bypass with its latest. Update, version 1.0.86.
The release notes describing these new changes state:
- Add the VTOY_WIN11_BYPASS_NRO option to the Global Control plugin to bypass the online account requirement when installing Windows 11.
- Enable VTOY_WIN11_BYPASS_CHECK and VTOY_WIN11_BYPASS_NRO by default.
In case you’re wondering, the “BYPASS_NRO” option is meant to bypass network requirements during OOBE, where “BYPASS_CHECK” is to bypass system requirements including TPM version, processor and so on. Includes monitoring of other systems. Requirements for Windows 11 In related news, Microsoft recently updated its list of supported Intel and AMD processors after the GA of Windows 11 22H2.
