Raiden’s voice actor hints at an announcement from Konami regarding the Metal Gear franchise.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will celebrate its 10th anniversary on February 19, 2023.
The upcoming announcement is likely some news about Metal Gear Rising 2.

Raiden’s voice actor, Quinton Flynn, recently responded to a tweet hinting at an announcement from Konami regarding Metal Gear Rising 2.

It is also worth noting that Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was released on February 19, 2013. As such, the game’s 10th anniversary is just months away, and we might get to hear something from Konami about the franchise.

Previous Week, Quentin Flynn posted a cameo promotion clip on his Twitter, mentioning Raiden and several of his other characters in various games.

A fan responded to the video asking if Metal Gear Rising 2, along with the rest of the upcoming Metal Gear Showcase, could be the only thing. Flynn responded to the tweet, saying to stay tuned for more to be announced in the coming weeks.

February 19, 2023 will be the 10th anniversary of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, and that’s just a few weeks away. Connecting the dots makes it very likely that 2023 will finally be the year that the Metal Gear franchise returns.

At present these are mere speculations and nothing more. The upcoming announcement that the voice actor has hinted at could be some other news related to the franchise or an event. However, fans are desperately hoping that this announcement is related to the highly anticipated sequel.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance recently saw a huge surge in popularity nearly a decade after its release. A sudden increase in Number of players Due to the huge popularity of memes featuring the game’s antagonist Raiden, and Steven Armstrong on most social media platforms.
