HBO’s live adaptation of The Last of Uk has received worldwide acclaim for accurately and effectively portraying the metaphysical story of the games. The live-action drama series premiered on January 15, 2023, on HBO.

The Microsoft Gaming CEO also called on The Last of You creator and Naughty Dog president Neil Druckman for his work on the franchise.

Phil also praised how Naughty Dog was able to translate the game into a completely different medium of entertainment while being incredibly successful at it. According to Phil, this shows that the games industry is full of amazing storytellers.
