The Battle for Olympus event pits 7 unique heroes in a free-for-all deathmatch while giving each hero unique ultimate abilities. For example, Widowmaker’s ultimate can now stun enemies looking directly at her, giving her easy headshots.

While this sounds good on paper, the 7-hero roster that is available is not thought of for such an event. Making playing too many heroes a very frustrating experience.

What adds insult to injury is the free legendary skin available in the event. Instead of any new skins available for the event, players will receive an old Mercy Legendary skin as a reward for completing 6 challenges from the event.

Overwatch’s new event highlights a prevalent problem with Overwatch 2 as a whole, as the game loses the generally fair—if occasionally—annoying loot box system from previous games that players only usually get. But lets earn skins by playing the game.

On top of that, it’s also not possible to obtain skins from the game’s paid Battle Pass, forcing players to purchase skins individually.
