Microsoft What has been released? A new Xbox update previews Alpha Ring with a range of fixes but most importantly, a new feature, the ability to return to a recent party with two clicks. This update has version number 2302.230104-2200 and becomes a mandatory update on January 7th at 3:00 AM.
In this update, a subset of users will now see “Recent Parties” under the “Start Party” button on the “Parties & Chats” tab while others will have to press the “Parties” button in the “Parties & Chats” tab. . And then select from the list of recent parties. By placing the feature in a different location, it’s likely that Microsoft is testing how users interact with it. This feature is designed so that you can quickly get back to playing games with gamers you were playing with before. You can also quickly invite these contacts to new parties.

- Fixed an issue where steering wheel force feedback could stop working unexpectedly.

- Fixed an issue where the tooltip for “Settings” would remain visible after navigating.
System
- Various updates to correctly reflect local languages in the console.

We understand that some issues have been listed in previous Xbox Insider Release Notes. These items are not being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers further Time to find a solution.
Audio
- We have received reports of users experiencing intermittent issues with audio in the dashboard, games and apps.
- Note: If you experience problems with the audio, please submit feedback immediately by reporting a problem with the “Repost with advanced evaluation” option and include the following:
- When did the problem start? After the console update, restart, restart, etc.
- Did you just lose audio in game/app or system audio?
- Does changing the audio format solve the problem? If yes, what was the shape before and after?
- Does rebooting fix the problem?
- What does your setup look like? Equipment, layout, etc
- and any additional information you can provide to reproduce the problem.
Controllers
- We have received some reports of users’ controllers randomly losing sync or disconnecting from the console. If you experience this behavior, please be sure to report the issue after reconnecting.
HDMI-CEC
- We have received some reports that HDMI-CEC is not working properly.
- Note: Make sure your TV supports HDMI-CEC and is enabled before filing feedback.
My Games and Apps
Titles in the collection may incorrectly appear with the “trial” tag.
TV/Display
- Some users have reported that the console is showing up at the wrong resolution on boot. We are aware and investigating.
- Note: If you experience this behavior, please make sure you submit feedback immediately by reporting a problem. Please include the make/model of your TV/display in the description.
- work: Restarting the console via the power menu (holding down the Xbox button brings up the power menu) should resolve the behavior. If not, make sure you check out Troubleshooting. Hereespecially the section about making sure your TV firmware is up-to-date.
The Alpha Ring is the highest ring that Xbox Insiders can reach and requires users to submit enough feedback to Microsoft. Alpha Ring is also invite-only so new people only join when invites go out.
