Microsoft Bing Chat

Microsoft hasn’t expanded the limit on the number of chat turns per day and per session in its BingChat chatbot since mid-March. At the time, the company tested going up to 200 chat turns per day and 20 session chat turns before making this new limit permanent.

Now, the BingChat team has finally pushed these chat turn limits to a new level. Bing, Microsoft’s head of engineering and product, Jordi Ribas, Confirmed on Twitter With which users can enjoy 300 chat turns per day, along with up to 30 in-session chat turns.

Of course, we have to wonder when and if BingChat will get unlimited turn chat sessions. That remains to be seen but for now, we’ll take this extension in the chat turn.

Microsoft seems to be adding more new features and improvements to Bing Chat than Google’s updates to its competing Bard chatbot. Last week at Microsoft Build 2023, it revealed a number of companies developing third-party plugins for Bing Chat. It also added Bing Chat support within the SwiftKey app and launched an Android widget last week.

Microsoft is also gearing up for more updates to Bing Chat during the month of June. It also includes improvements to Bing Chat’s disengagement rate, along with improvements to the AI art generator Bing Image Creator. Perhaps the biggest upcoming feature is a possible experiment to add Bing Chat support for web browsers other than Microsoft Edge.

This should allow BingChat to expand its reach to many more people who either can’t access or simply don’t want to use Microsoft Edge as their web browser.
