Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores New Weapons

Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores new weapons are a welcome addition besides the new map, new machines, and content. Some of the best weapons in the DLC, such as the best bows, are actually a lot better than the base game Aloy’s arsenal.  We have so far found 14 new weapons in the Burning Shores DLC, and we believe there aren’t other new Very Rare or Legendary weapons than these.

Ancestor’s Return

The Ancestor’s Return is a sought-after legendary weapon in Horizon Forbidden West, a unique variant of the Shredder Gauntlet. To acquire this powerful weapon, players must collect all the Ornaments and present them to Stemmur, who will unlock a nearby cache containing the Ancestor’s Return.

The Blacktide Sharpshot Bow, one of the Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores new weapons, is another excellent a highly coveted weapon, recognized for its swift and long-range capabilities. As a variant of the Sharpshot Bow, this rare weapon can only be obtained as a pre-order bonus. It comes with a single Mod Slot, which can be increased to three after upgrades.

As I equip the Distant Thunder in Horizon Forbidden West, I adopt a playstyle that takes advantage of its long-range capabilities and powerful knockdown shots. From a safe distance, I carefully aim at the dangerous machines, inflicting critical hit damage while keeping them at bay. By using the Instant Drenched Chance, I can weaken and slow down my adversaries, making it easier to land consecutive shots.

When required, I utilize the knockdown shots to disrupt and disable threatening machines or enemy combatants using Distant Thunder. This tactical approach enables me to control the battlefield effectively while maintaining a safe distance from my foes.

Death Seeker’s Shadow

A unique addition to Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores new weapons, The Death-Seeker’s Shadow is a remarkable legendary weapon, a distinct variant of the Hunter Bow. Traditionally gifted to Death-Seekers embarking on their final journey from the Nora Sacred Land, this bow is obtainable from Dukkah, a special merchant prize master who exchanges high-tier weapons and outfits for tags, stripes, and medals collected in-game.

• Ensure you have reached the second main quest, “Heaven and Earth.”
• Traverse to the volcanic archipelago, east of Spinebreak and south of Hades Proving and No-Man’s Land
• Explore the Los Angeles ruins found in this region
• Proceed through the “Heaven and Earth” quest, overcoming various challenges
• Upon reaching an ancient building with dead bodies, locate a staircase near one of them and ascend
• Navigate beyond a round table and barrels to discover a room containing a conference table
• Activate your focus ability to identify a hidden treasure chest within the room’s walls
• Pry open the chest to unveil the Skyhammer Blastsling
• Equip the weapon to unlock its full potential and wreak havoc on machine enemies

Specter Gauntlet

One of the new additions to the Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores new weapons, The Specter Gauntlet is a legendary weapon that represents a modified version of a powerful Zenith weapon. Obtain this weapon by defeating Zeth during “The Stars in Their Eyes” mission. By default, the Specter Gauntlet has three mod slots.

• Locating and freeing hostages
• Finding and defeating Pirik
• Looting the Railgun Component from Pirik’s weapon
