Highlights of the story
- The 23.30 update for Fortnite has arrived.
- Datamin of the update files suggests that an FPS mode may be coming in the future.
- A number of UI changes were also found from the DataMind files, including other changes such as the ability to reload during a target.
Fortnite has come a long way since its launch. What started out as a tower defense game and a battle royale soon came to light for the latter mode and has become quite the cultural phenomenon. Much of its appeal owes to the gameplay, a hybrid of offensive and defensive play.
A mainstay has been the third-person perspective found in many other battle royale games, but this may soon change in the future. According to a Fortnite data miner, files in the recent Fortnite 23.30 update indicate that a first-person mode is coming soon in the near future.
Looks like BR is finally getting the first person stuff, hopefully it will carry over to STW so we don’t have to use the skiffed version we have right now. pic.twitter.com/tuhYs95z6c

Apparently, this is done by exploiting a bug in Fortnite: Save the game’s world mode in which the first-person mode can be enabled.

Since then people have been uploading videos of themselves and trying out the FPS mode on different weapons to see if there are any differences or variations between weapons. It should be noted that while the mod is currently accessible, there is no guarantee that the bug will be patched in a later update.
@ShiinaBR It looks like the mod will officially arrive later this year, so it’s probably safe to assume that players will have to wait a while, but it’s definitely exciting news because it’s a brand new brings point of view to the game.
Meanwhile, cooperation returns with Dragon Ball, bringing back Nimbus Cloud and the Kamehameha attack. This time, the characters shown are Song Gohan and Piccolo as they appeared in Dragon Ball Super: Superheroes.

Fortnite is a huge part of a product that generates a lot of revenue, which is why it can continue to have these profitable and amazing collaborations with all kinds of media.
Gameplay isn’t the only appeal that Fortnite has. Its cartoony visuals make it particularly appealing to younger audiences and players, and a large number of Fortnite players are quite young indeed.
Her dance moves have also catapulted her to stardom and cultural phenomenon status, with the moves being the subject of popular memes and often recreated.
The collaboration with Dragon Ball is just one of countless Fortnite has done throughout its existence. Few games can claim to host such spectacle and visual splendor, but Fortnite can easily boast that it’s a regular occurrence.
