Forspoken is Square Enix’s latest IP, developed by Luminous Productions, who previously worked on Final Fantasy XV.
Visually, it is quite similar to Final Fantasy XV as it uses the same engine. However, it is quite different from the title. People are hyped for its release, but as the release date approaches, gaming titles are nothing new to suffer from leaks.
Forspoken has now suffered the same fate as many other games that were leaked shortly before release. Recently, about an hour was leaked on Forspoken. Reset Era Forums. The original leak has since been removed, but several mirrors and alternate links have popped up and are populating the interwebs.
As can be seen, the recording is from the PlayStation 5 version of the game and clocks in at just over 76 minutes. There’s not much to see here since it’s game time. It has some cutscenes and some fighting.
The UI seems to have been improved somewhat, which is probably a result of feedback from the PS5 demo. Many people expressed their concerns over the UI, and as a result, the PS5 Forspoken demo received a surprise update that adjusted the size of the text, among other changes.
The video also gives us a look at some of the game’s settings, such as video, gameplay, and accessibility settings. The leak in question shows combat in the game’s Easy mode, to help people get an idea of what difficulty they’re going to be playing the game on when it’s released.
“Accessibility” settings seem to be standard settings in many games these days. Interestingly, there is also a setting to change how often the cuff speaks.
Those who have been following the game know that Free is aided in the game by a magical talking cuff that enables him to use magic.
Recently, God of War Ragnarok received a lot of criticism for its NPCs talking too much and practically ruining puzzle sections and ruining the puzzle-solving experience.
It’s not clear how the puzzles will work in Forspoken or whether the cuff will even offer solutions, but if people don’t want it to speak too much or if they want to unleash a full onslaught of vocal lines, they certainly have But this is an option.
It’s also worth noting that the PS5 demo takes place in a sandbox-style area where players can roam freely and complete some mini-objectives, so this leak is quite different from the pre-existing demo.
It’s not uncommon for games to be leaked close to or long before release. However, it’s different for Forspoken. It has been the subject of much negative attention as many have criticized the game’s dialogues and the main character himself.
The game is slated to release on January 24, 2023, and will currently only come to the PS5 and PC platforms. Gamers are definitely excited about the upcoming action RPG and should stay tuned after the review embargo ends on January 23rd. Before buying a game, you should know the game well.
