Fan created 3D models of Cloud Strife’s weapons from the original Final Fantasy VII

Final Fantasy VII has a 25-year legacy, easily one of the most influential games of all time. Released in 1997, the game opened up a new world for Japanese role-playing games in the West. The game sold over 13 million copies worldwide, earning $16.5 million in North America in its opening weekend.

With the advancement of 3D console gaming, Final Fantasy VII entered the mainstream in 1997. The game followed its predecessor, Final Fantasy VI, which itself was a critical success, but the transition from 2D to 3D console gaming made Final Fantasy VII even more so. Magical for a JRPG.

Final Fantasy VII will never go out of style, and we see fans constantly bringing it back.
