It’s been another busy week in terms of new features and improvements added to Microsoft’s BingChat chatbot. Microsoft had the addition of Bing Image Creator to the Edge sidebar, and also rolled out Prompt v98, which is supposed to have reduced the number of chatbot refusals. Even a new beta for the SwiftKey mobile keyboard added support for Bing Chat.
However, there were even more opportunities that have not yet been publicly announced. The latest weekly Bing Chat post on the official Bing blog revealed them to use today:
- Added the ability to pick up a conversation in the sidebar where you left off, so you can continue your flow without losing context when you go to the sidebar.
- Increased the maximum length of chats, so you can, for example, discuss long documents.
- Fixed performance issues on the Edge sidebar to help reduce loading errors.
We do not yet have a timeline for when we will be able to save chat history from BingChat. This has been the first request from users so far. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait long for this long-awaited addition.
