DICE has officially announced that Season 5 of Battlefield 2042 will begin on June 7, 2023, with the launch of update 5.0.0. In just a few days, this season will bring a new map titled Reclaimed, fresh weapons like the XCE BAR, and other features like a revamped Battle Pass with ancient items. First, Battlefield 2042 Season 5 will include a new map called “Claimed againwhich is based in the Czech Republic. Battles will take place around an abandoned industrial facility surrounded by warehouses, trains and turbines. Additionally, the map includes The Bunker, an area for close combat, and The Silos, an outdoor area for vehicular combat.

After that, update 5.0.0 is also introducing brand new weapons to Battlefield 2042 in Season 5. Among these mint weapons is the BFP.50, a powerful hand cannon that the developers say will become very popular. You will be able to unlock dozens of items in 100 levels of Battlefield 2042 Free and Premium Battle Pass. Also, Dozer and Irish are the Specialists receiving improvements through this patch for gameplay reasons. Damage unity functionality, squad functionality, and weapon accuracy have also been upgraded in the FPS game through this Season 5 patch.

You can now assign inputs via the Options > Controller > Edit Controller Mapping > menu. The update notes also revealed how the developers are adding AllChat functionality due to community demand.
