Alchemy Stars video game consists of four elements, Fire, water, thunder, and forest. There are tiles of four colors representing the elements. Alchemy stars have gained massive popularity globally ever since its release. However, the plethora of characters it offers can be pretty overwhelming for players who ate just starting out and don’t know what characters might be the best for their team in order to win.

Ranking System

Tier lists are the best way to tell how strong the character you’re playing is. You need to be well aware of the rank of your favorite character to see if they’ll be a good choice in the battle or not. This ranking system in alchemy stars can determine which unit might have better stats than others based on their rarity.

In alcohol stars, six stars units should be your top and foremost priority because of their impeccable rarity. Your 5-star units are also important depending on the situation at hand, and they might be your best choice. Make sure that you utilize your three stars and 4-star soldiers in the beginning. However, make sure you have the most 6 star units in your team, with 5-star units serving as your backup.

Team Members

Team-building or team composition is critical in this game. Each of the boards consists of different types of color combinations. So aim to build a powerful team to counter your enemies in the battle successfully. The best team on alchemy stars comprises one captain,  one or two tile converters, one DPS, one supporter, and a healer. The captain’s element doesn’t need to match with its team’s elements, and the captains are not required to be real DPS as well. They are capable of attacking any tiles. So if you own a hero that is capable of countering the elements of enemies,  it would definitely help you in the battle.

There are a total of 4 members in a team of alchemy stars. These four members belong to four categories, and every one is essential in order to move forward.

Converter

Converters are those characters that have the ability to change the color of tiles in the game. As a result, they can form a suitable path for the other Aurorians in the team.

Supports

Supports are also known as healers. They are sort of medics of the team and very important to keep the team stable and healthy. Supports or healers can be very useful in HP missions. Supports can be offensive supports,  movements, or teleportation supports in a game.

Snipers

Snipers are basically DPS units. These Snipers are important as they deal with single target damage.

Detonators

They are used to deal with the heavy damage that the enemy causes. Basically, they deal with area damage in the battle.

Alchemy Stars Tier List

Below is a detailed tier list for Alchemy Stars so you’ll know which characters are worth investing your resources on and what characters might not be in your favor in the long run to victory. There are four tiers by which we classified the alchemy stars characters in our list. They are categorized according to their skill set, abilities, and performance in battles.

1. “S tier” – They are the most powerful characters in their specialized element and outperform the rest with their high power and ability. They are the best choice for the battle and will definitely lead you to victory if utilized properly. Keep in mind that if you plan on winning the battle, have at least one S-tier member in your team. However, they are fairly complex to maneuver and utilize, and only advanced players can use them in battles properly. If you plan on using your resources on a character, make sure that it belongs to either the S tier or the A tier.
2. “A tier” – the characters of this tier are considered to be the most powerful after the characters belonging to the S tier. Members of this tier serve as a good backup, and they can also lead in battle if you plan on saving your S-tier characters with the highest abilities for later in the battle.
3. “B tier”- as you move towards the lower level, the characters become weaker and weaker. B-tier characters aren’t as strong as S or A-tier ones, and they shouldn’t be your priority for battle. However, if you do have B-tier characters in your team, then use them first so you can utilize your powerful characters fully. These characters are good for beginners to practice with and understand the game’s mechanics.
4. “C-tier “- The weakest characters in their specialized element, these are not very useful on battlefields and won’t do you very well in the long run. It is better to not waste your resources on them as they are weak and do not have the powerful abilities to win the battle.

Best Forest Characters

Kicking off our Alchemy Stars Tier List is Forest. This element is represented by green color and has aesthetics that are different and unique as compared to the other elements in the game. It is also the most complicated element in this game to understand. Characters of Forest element obliterate their enemy with their high evasiveness ability. New players might find it difficult to understand the situational advantages of characters from this element, so utilizing their powers correctly might be a hurdle for many. If you can handle being patient, then you can definitely go for this element.

Thus this element is the best and also the worst. Since it is pretty difficult to analyze this element, new players are recommended not to use it. This element definitely outperforms the rest in terms of abilities and powers, but it might become a barrier for new players. For the healer, Louise is probably the best option for your team as he belongs to tier A. However, if Louise is not available, Uriah might also be a viable option. Uriah can be used as your team’s healer as she recovers the HP of your team, and all the excessive healing of Uriah will go to the nearest green grid to make it an enhanced grid. A great feature of your forest team is that it has many units that offer you high mobility, which is very impressive in Alchemy stars to win. If you have enough resources and are looking for an excellent and worthy unit to invest in, Ophina is a great and suitable choice for it.

Once Ophina is upgraded enough to reach her full limit break skill,  that’s when you’ll see her full potential and utilize her skills to win. Like Uriah, Sylva is also in the B tier because he is suitable for support but not for the primary damage dealer. However, he can select one tile on the board and dash it into a particular location, damaging the enemies. Another great A-tier character to incorporate into your team would be Pact.

As a converter, she can convert the nearest red tiles to green ones and also generate many enhanced tiles in the game, making her an A-tier character. Hiiro can be used as another tile converter, and during to her capability, she belongs to the S tier. She can transform any selected tile into an enhanced tile of green and can deal severe damage against her enemies.

Best Fire Characters

In alchemy stars, fire is represented by the color red. While The name itself means destruction and chaos, characters of the fire element serve as the primary damage dealers. Characters of the fire element have the best damage-dealing abilities out of all elements. Their crowd control is also top-notch. While playing a character from the fire element, you can attack a larger area.

However, the damage will be magnified. Characters of these elements possess huge DPS capabilities. Their attacks are very damaging and powerful. One important characteristic about the characters belonging to the fire element is that they have very strong AOE skills along with their highly damaging abilities.

What makes the fire element so great is that it also has 5 stars support characters. However, the only con of this element is that most of the good and powerful S tier or A tier characters are not available for free because the fire element is a premium element that comes with many perks. But as you progress further in the game, you can also unlock some fire characters. This element is undoubtedly the best among all of the four elements because it offers you everything you will need to ensure your victory in the battle and give you more situational advantages and perks than the other elements.

Teleportation is one of the most important and powerful skills in alchemy stars. When it comes to boss fights or certain missions,  teleportation can prove to be very useful if utilized properly. You’ll need to use teleportation to give you high mobility in certain stages with specific mechanics. If you plan to make a fire team, do consider using Pepi. Even though Pepi isn’t from a high rank or has high power, her zero cooldown teleportation skill can be very useful in a battle.

Brock is also a good unit and has good damaging abilities that can be very useful for clearing certain stages. Moreover, his activity allows him to pull every enemy on board. He is capable of damaging and aggressing the units of the enemies.

The further the enemies move on the tiles, Brock’s damage drastically increases on them. Faust can be used for tile conversion in the game. He can convert five of the closest yellow grids into red and increase the grid conversion by one in the current round.

This is why Faust is an A tier. Uriel can be used as another capable tile converter. She can reset all grids and increase the red grids. Keep in mind that Uriel is an S-tier character, so having her on the team would benefit you greatly. Istvan can be used as offensive support in the game. He can trigger chain combos two times in a round and produce a very damaging attack on the enemies. This is the reason why Istvan is an A-tier character.

Best Water Characters

The water element is blue and consists of very user-friendly characters. A great thing about this element is that almost all of its characters are available for free. Players can choose from a variety of characters from this element. Three Water characters are accessible to the player as soon as the game starts. This is why many start their game with the water element, very optimum for newcomers.

You can use Water element characters for a plethora of purposes. Hence, they are a good choice. Their damage is quite effective, and their attacks are pretty drastic as well. They can have an advantage over fire characters if appropriately utilized.

If you’re thinking of building a water team, your best choice would be Zoya for your healer. Using her at the start of your game might be a good choice because she is in C tier and won’t do you much good when dealing with damage. As your converter, a good choice will be Ms. Blanc as she can change the color of the tiles as well as buff your water elements.

Kraken can also be a good option for converters as they are six stars and can convert tiles and chain fear statuses. Philishy is a good choice for the healer as well because of incredible healing and teleportation, thus being in A tier. Noah is a shield healer. He has a surprisingly useful bulk built-in their kit.

Best Thunder Characters

Up next on our Alchemy Stars Tier List is Thunder. This element is represented by yellow, and the characters of these elements are probably the most powerful out of all four elements. Characters belonging to the thunder element are probably the best-optimized characters of alchemy stars due to their outstanding mobility and skills. These characters are the best DPS and are considered heavy damage dealers.

They are very capable when it comes to crowd control and dealing damage over a larger area. One of their special qualities is their long-range attacks. These characters are optimal for new players as they are easy to maneuver and don’t have complex mechanisms to get used to.

Once you’re advanced enough, then you can handle these characters correctly in a way that’ll unlock their full potential and power. Even the average characters from this element are pretty interesting to use and have special skills. This element is perhaps the most optimal for beginners as it trains you from all angles.

Eho can be maneuvered for mobility support and teleportation as she has the ability to move from one grid to another, circling around her unit. However, she doesn’t deal much damage hence shifting her down towards the C tier. Even though she does not have enough attack power, Nadine from tier B can serve as a sound healer for the team. Another characteristic that makes her slightly better is that she can be used in the conversion of min tiles that can aid you in the battle.

Mia is a great choice for your team if you’re looking to incorporate someone from tier A. The reason is that she deals a great amount of damage to all the enemies and the lower the enemy’s HP is, the greater is the damage dealt by Mia. She is a perfect DPS character. She will definitely lead your team to victory. Additionally, you can also use Nemesis as a Convertor. He can convert the grids within the area of attack into yellow color.

She can also deal serious damage to the enemies, thus giving her an A-tier spot on the list. If you’re looking to enhance your tiles during battle as your strategy Irridon from tier S might be a good choice for you. She can convert any kind of selected grid into an enhanced prism grid of yellow. Furthermore, if you have Michael, then use him in the place of Eho while shifting Eho to some other kind of tile conversion. But since Michael has the abilities of S tier, he will prove to be very worthy in the position of captain.
